Allergan also mentioned that a qualified  medical specialist has to inject 31 Botox injections into sever specific head and neck areas. Allergan further said that the Botox injections produce lasting  results  up to three months depending on individual patients.

Botox Studies
Allergan said that the FDA approval for use of Botox to fight Migraines  was based on results of two studies conducted on 1384 patients in North America and Europe..

 The studies was published in the journal Cephalgia in March 2010. It reported that patients treated with Botox experienced a major decrease in frequency of headaches.

Rare Side Effects are:
Swallowing and Breathing problems are possible
Muscle weakness and double vision,blurred vision,drooping eyelids,loss of bladder control,hoarseness
Botox was approved in 2000 for treatments of wrinkles.

The FDA says Botox does not appear to be useful in treating or preventing less frequent migraines that occur 14 days or less per month or other forms of headache.
